Tuna balls with ginger and sesame

These are great as a party snack or a starter.

250 gr. tuna, sushi quality, chopped
2 red chilies, chopped
1 spring onion, chopped
2 tsp. sesame oil
2 tbsp. grated ginger
1 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. black sesame seeds
4 tbsp. white sesame seeds
Soy sauce for serving
Oil for frying
Skewers (optional)

Chop the tuna finely on a cutting board and put in a bowl. Now add the chopped chillies, the chopped spring onion, the grated ginger, the salt and the sesame oil and combine well with your hands.

In a bowl add the sesame seeds of both colors.

Wet your hands and make small balls of tuna that you roll in the sesame seeds. Repeat until you don't have any more tuna.

In a skillet heat your oil for frying over high heat and fry the tuna balls, a few at a time, for a maximum of 30 seconds.

Put on skewers and serve right away with soy sauce.
