OK, So people that know me know that if there is one fat nasty scrumptious dish I make it is pasta carbonara.
Here it is, and I expect I will no longer be that f*ing awesome because you can all make it for yourselves now.
Gather a pot for boiling and a fry pan for the good stuff
First place pot with water to boil on stove over high heat.
Start with the bacon or pancetta chopped small and separated into the frying pan place over medium heat, when it is beginning to brown and crisp, you need to drain access fat and oil..
In the mean time prepare your onion by chopping down small.
Take the heavy cream, egg, and pepper, and whip in a bowl and set aside (in fridge).
When you have drained the bacon fat, add the olive oil to the pan and add the onions. When they begin to become translucent, add the peas stir and cover on low heat until the pasta is ready.
When the pot is boiling add your pasta cook to your liking and drain. Add the pasta back to the pot you used to boil.
Pour the good stuff (peas, bacon, onion) to the pot.
Pour the cream mixture and stir constantly on low heat for a minute or two until the egg is cooked through
Add some grated cheese and you will be heaven!
Hard to stop eating, so plan on having friends over to help you finish. (Although it is very tasty the next day for lunch if you can control yourself)
