Cucumber Sandwich

Cucumber Sandwich

So I've had this thing for while, don't know why and don't know where I picked it up. For some reason I've had a craving for a cucumber sandwich even though I can't remember having ever tasted one. Only one thing to do! Make them then.

You will need one loaf of sandwich bread to wrap the sandwiches :-) For the filling you will need the following

Ingredients for filling

225g 1 cream cheese
1dl / 90g mayonnaise
1 tbsp dried onion
1 tbsp oregano
1 tbsp dried dill
1 tbsp dried parsley
1,5 tsp dried garlic
1 tsp dried basil
1 pinch thyme
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp salt
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 medium cucumber

Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Mix cream cheese and Mayo in another bowl and then add the spice mix, stir well so everything is mixed real good.

Slice the cucumber in fine slices and the sandwich bread in thin slices as well.

Take two slices of bread and spread a thin layer of the filling on both then place cucumbers and put one bread slice on top of the other. Cut in triangles or squares. Repeat until there is no more.

Serve on a large platter and watch your guests lick their fingers after eating them ;-)
