Pisco sour is a really great tasting cocktail based on the peruvian liquor Pisco, it is a really dangerous cocktail too because it tastes so good you hardly notice that you are drinking alcohol until the hammer hits you.
You will need to make some choices here, you can go with regular white sugar or make some simple syrup
Ingredients for simple syrup
In a medium saucepan combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil, stirring, until sugar has dissolved. Allow to cool. Pretty simple right? (The above should last you more than 1 bottle of pisco.)
Next you can go with pasteurized egg whites or the real deal. I use pasteurized because it is so much easier when you are making more than one cocktail.
Mix 3 parts pisco, 1 part lime juice, 1 part simple syrup, 1 part egg white and some ice in a cocktail shaker and shake the soul out of it. Strain into an old-fashioned glass and dash a few drops of angostura on top.
All that remains is to enjoy your pisco sour!
P.S. I realize there is no angostura drops on the picture! It was taken after consumption of a few rounds of tasting so for some obscure reason I replaced the angostura with parsley for that particular batch.
